Panel materials

Types of panel materials
  • acrylic extruded panels – PMMA,
  • panels made of foamed PVC,
  • panels made of cellular polycarbonate,
  • panels made of cellular polypropylene,
  • panels made of high impact polystyrene,
  • sandwich panels with an Al surface,
  • sandwich panels for indoor applications,
  • non-self-adhesive films up to a thickness of 1 mm.
Acrylic extruded panels - PMMA

The abbreviation PMMA means polymethyl methacrylate. This material is generally referred to as acrylic glass or plexiglass.

You will appreciate this material primarily for its exceptional clearness and optical qualities.

Compared to cast panels, extruded panels are more affordable and have a better thickness tolerance.

We deliver extruded panels in a glossy, matt, or textured design. They are normally transparent, but they also come in different colour tones.

These panels can be used as glass surfaces on facades, for illuminated ads or sales stands, as covers for paintings, roofing for terraces and swimming pools, etc.

Panels made of foamed PVC

These panels are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. They are particularly suitable for the production of advertising signs and stands.

Foamed PVC panels are lightweight, easy to process, affordable, and come in a wide range of sizes, thicknesses, and colours.

The surface of the panels can be provided with graphic films or screen printing. The panels can be glued, welded, milled and heat moulded.

Panels made of cellular polycarbonate

Today, panels made of cellular polypropylene are a standard building material. They can be used for shelters, gazebos, bus stops, and other lightweight structures.

These panels are firm and bend easily.

Polycarbonate panels of smaller thicknesses are produced primarily as single-cell panels. Stronger polycarbonate panels have a higher number of cells and hence a greater rigidity. We supply cellular polypropylene panels in a clear design, but also in a smoky shade and an opaque shade of opal.

Panels made of high impact polystyrene

These panels are very popular due to their resistance to water, acid, lye, vegetable oil, ethyl alcohol, and methanol. However, from a thermal point of view, polystyrene is among the less resistant plastics.

Panels made of high impact polystyrene can be used as cladding and insulation material.

The panels are subject to aging by atmospheric influences and have a low light stability. For these reasons, the panels are not suitable for outdoor applications.

Sandwich panels

Sandwich panels consist of cover panels and a core made of foamed material.

These panels are suitable for printed graphics, photographs, and various indoor applications. Sandwich panels have perfect thermal insulation properties, are lightweight and have excellent properties as a plastic covering surface.
