Strapping bands

Polypropylene (PP) strapping bands

PP bands adapt well to the shape of objects and do not damage it. You can bind the bands using plastic, wire, or steel staples (depending on the type of strapping tool). The waste from the band is recyclable and eco-friendly.

The bands are suitable for both manual and machine strapping. You can use them for strapping printed materials, boxes, small cartons and pallets.

Properties of PP bands:

  • lightweight and high strength,
  • round edges and do not corrode,
  • can be welded with heat or ultrasound,
  • wide colour range,
  • printable.
PET strapping bands

These bands are a very commonly used packaging material in many industries, mainly because of their high quality.

PET bands are made of polyester and can be used for both, manual strapping and wide range of strapping machines.

You will appreciate this type of band for strapping heavy objects or unstable packages and pallets. The advantage of PET bands is their strength, elasticity and low weight.

PES strapping bands

They are textile bands that can absorb greater shocks than the bands mentioned above. These bands are suitable for strapping heavy loads in road transport, railway transport, and even maritime transport. Even in bad conditions, the bands do not crack or lose their elasticity and thus do not damage the load.

PES bands are an eco-friendly replacement for steel bands.

Properties of PES bands:

  • shape memory,
  • softness (do not scratch the goods),
  • suitable for manual strapping (stapled),
  • the bands can be reused,
  • the band can be continuously tightened.
Accessories for strapping bands

Together with strapping bands, you can also purchase protective edges, which prevent the deformation of packaging corners that can form due to the tension of the band.

For the easy handling of bands, use unwinders and strapping tools. Both manual and electric tools of this sort are available. Manual strapping tools tighten the band with metal staples. Electric strapping tools are used for tightening, welding, and cutting the band.
